Culture and Education

The Culture and Education Program at the Games aims to inspire young athletes and youth through a holistic learning experience. During the Games, an equal emphasis is placed on sport and competition as on culture and education. The program is integrated with the sports competition schedule.

The objectives of the program are:
– Learn about Olympism, Olympic values and global issues
– Contribute to the community and environment
– Interact with other youths
– Celebrate Olympic values and diversity of cultures

The Program is delivered through activities within the Youth Olympic Village; Chat with Champions, Discovery Activity, World Culture Village, Community Project and the Arts and Culture and through activities outside the Youth Olympic Village including Exploration Journey and Island Adventure.
